ABOUT ME

Hi! I’m Robyn, and I’m a professionally-trained civil celebrant. With a career background in theatre, film, writing, and hospitality, I love to create unique, bespoke experiences for my clients, culminating in a ceremony which won’t be just the boring bit that everyone has to sit through before they can get to the canapés!

My goal is to ensure that the two of you can showcase the love you have for one another in a setting which truly shows off your personality. No more identikit, cookie-cutter weddings! With me you’ll have a ceremony to remember, filled with personalised wording about your story, vows that I’m happy to help you write, the rituals of your choice (don’t worry, I’ve got plenty to suggest), and above all, a true celebration of love in all its many forms.

But I don’t just do weddings! Whether you’re renewing your vows, having an anniversary, naming your new baby, renaming yourself, or anything you fancy throwing a party for, let’s have a chat and discuss what a celebrant (and hopefully this celebrant!) can bring to your day.

I’m open-minded, LGBTQIA+ inclusive, and I love anything a bit quirky and different. My passions include travelling (60 countries so far!), crafting (yes I have an Etsy shop), and reading (tell me your favourite books!). I sing in a chamber choir, volunteer at Glastonbury every year, and my favourite food is Korean. This website is inspired by my hair, which has been pink and purple (to some degree) for the past seven years.

I’m originally from London but am currently based in York. I’m a cycle campaigner in my spare time, so usually you’ll find me pedalling around my adopted city on my big flowery Dutch bike. But I’ll happily travel across the UK (or indeed the world…) to wherever your ceremony is taking place; and initial meetings can take place over Zoom if we can’t easily meet in person.

Ultimately I want to bring vibrancy, warmth, excitement, passion and laughter to your ceremony, not to mention a whole heap of colour!
